Residential

Acapela Studio

Acapela is based at the former Horeb Chapel in Pentyrch, near Cardiff, a Grade II listed building. The building has previously been converted into a performing arts centre and recording studio.

Proposals: Change of use/ form a new recording area on 1st floor/ open plan bar and restaurant/ Installation of a pizza oven/ Disabled facilities & form a new opening leading to 1st floor.

The Terrace

A charming well presented mid terraced 1920’s cottage in the heart of Creigiau village overlooking woodland which is set in semi-rural surroundings.

ProposalsA single storey rear extension forming a large kitchen/dining area (this particular client requested 3D visuals)

Ynys Y Coed

The idea behind this design was inspired by Waind Gohil Architects based in London; my client discovered “Chiswick” reading the Grand Designs magazine and on a slightly smaller scale reproduced offering all the benefits of contemporary modern architecture.

This typically shows that you can use traditional or matching materials without doing a pastiche extension.

Proposals: To extend the kitchen/dining area into a free flowing entrance onto the garden and its surroundings.

The Bike Shed

Tongwynlais is set to become the place to be for cyclists in Cardiff with the opening of "The Bike Shed" located in the heart of the village sitting alongside the Taff Trail cycle route.

This bright, stylish 2,000 square foot showroom design was an obvious choice with its fantastic location and popularity with cyclists. With two spacious new floors packed full of bikes for all disciplines, catering for beginners & enthusiasts alike.

Proposals: Splitting away from Deco Heat becoming two businesses/ front extension/ forming two floor levels with new offices & WC’s/ raising the existing roof & producing a traditional oak finished canopy on entrance.
